1. Regularly Change Your Account Password

- Keep your account safer from harm such as hacking or account theft by regularly changing the password you are using.  

■ How to Change Your Password  

[XBOX Account] 

① Go to the Xbox Homepage (https://www.xbox.com).

② Click your profile Icon in the top right of the screen, and select ‘My Microsoft Account’

③ Click Change Password and update your password.

[PlayStation Account] 

① Go to the PlayStation Store Homepage (https://store.playstation.com).
② Click on your profile icon and then on ‘Account Settings’ 
③ On the left hand side, click on ‘Security’  
④ Click on ‘Edit’ by Password - you can change your password by following the instructions that are given.  

2. Use a Strong Password

■ Tips for a Stronger Password  

① Ensure your password includes both upper and lowercase letters, numbers, special characters, and is at least 10 characters long.  

② Make sure not to include easily identifiable personal information such as birthdays, phone numbers, etc. In your password. 

③ Don’t use the same password from a different website and vice versa.  

3. Pay Close Attention to Your Password

① If you’re using the same email account for a website or SNS account as your Black Desert account, make sure you use a different password for each one.   

② Never share your password or leave it visible to someone else.  

③ Be careful when you are entering your password in a communal or public place.
