As you level up and travel around the world, you will start to find enemies which are deadly if you are not geared correctly. Besides getting new weapons and armor, you can also enhance gear to improve the effectiveness of the items in combat or transfuse magic crystals

Enhancing

To enhance, you will first need to talk to the Black Spirit and choose the ‘Enhance’ option. This option will then open up the enhancement window. Choose which item you want to enhance, supply the correct amount of materials, and press enhance.

Failed Enhancements

Enhancements can fail past a certain point. When an enhancement fails, the weapons durability will decrease and you will be granted an Enhancement Chance point. These Enhancement Chances will build up, and give you better chances at a successful enhancement later on. Durability can be restored by any blacksmith, and requires various items which will repair a set amount of durability.

Guaranteed success

Enhancing armors up to +5 and weapons up to +7 are guaranteed successes and will not affect your Enhancement Chance points.

Accessories

Accessories can also be enhanced. To do so, you need to use the same accessory with no enhancement level. If an accessory attempt fails, both of the items will be destroyed.
